IESCO — the Islamabad Electric Supply Company — serves over 3.88 million consumers across the federal capital and five Punjab districts: Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal. If your paper bill didn’t arrive or you need a duplicate copy, there’s no need to visit a customer center. Enter your 14-digit reference number below and open the official IESCO bill portal in one click.
IESCO Bill Checker
Enter the 14-digit reference number from any old IESCO bill. We’ll validate it, then open the official portal with everything ready.
The number is printed on every IESCO bill as “Reference No.” — 14 digits, no spaces or dashes. The portal also accepts a Customer ID if you select that option on their page.
Where Is the Reference Number?
- Find any old IESCO bill — paper or a photo of one works.
- Look at the top-left corner for “Reference No.” It’s a 14-digit number, usually printed in bold near your name and address.
- Type it here exactly as printed — don’t skip leading zeros, and don’t add spaces or dashes.
- Press “Check Bill” — the official IESCO portal opens in a new tab. You’ll need to complete the captcha there and press Search.
Areas Covered by IESCO

How to Pay Your IESCO Bill
Once you’ve seen the bill, payment takes a minute. IESCO accepts all the usual channels: JazzCash, Easypaisa, and Upaisa under utility bills; internet and mobile banking from any major bank; 1-Link ATMs; NADRA e-Sahulat centers; Pakistan Post offices; and any commercial bank branch. There’s no extra charge for paying online — just the bill amount. Pay before the due date printed on the bill to avoid the late-payment surcharge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I check my IESCO bill with my CNIC or name?
No. The official portal only works with the 14-digit reference number or your Customer ID. It can’t look bills up by CNIC, name, address, or meter number — there would be too many matches.
The portal says “Given Ref/App No is invalid.” What went wrong?
Almost always a typing slip. Check for spaces, dashes, or a dropped leading zero — the reference number must be exactly 14 digits. If you picked the Customer ID option instead, use that number without spaces.
The IESCO portal isn’t loading. Is it down?
Probably not — the PITC portal is known to hang on the first try, especially in the evening. Wait a minute and reload before assuming it’s down. If it still won’t open, try again during off-peak hours (morning).
What is the IESCO Smart app?
IESCO Smart is IESCO’s official mobile app. You can check bills, lodge and track complaints, and view load-shedding schedules through it. Download it only from the official Google Play Store listing — beware of unofficial lookalike apps.
Can I use the duplicate bill as payment proof?
Yes. Once the bill shows on the portal, print it or choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog. That copy works for paying at banks, JazzCash/Easypaisa agents, and NADRA e-Sahulat centers, and for your own records.
I lost my reference number completely. What now?
Reference numbers are unique to each meter, so a neighbor’s won’t help. Your options: find any old bill or its photo, or call the helpline 118 with your address and meter details so IESCO can look it up for you.
