Our Story
TimelyUps was founded on a simple belief: Pakistanis deserve a news platform that is fast, accurate and genuinely useful — one that respects both their intelligence and their time. We started as a small team of journalists and developers who were frustrated by cluttered news sites, slow-loading pages and headlines that promised far more than the story delivered.
So we built the news site we always wanted to read. Every decision at TimelyUps — from our clean, readable article pages to our one-tap utility tools — is made with the reader in mind. We cover the stories shaping Pakistan and the world, and we present them plainly, with context, and without sensationalism.
Today, TimelyUps reaches readers across Pakistan and the diaspora every single day. We are independent, reader-first and growing — and we are only just getting started. Our mission has not changed since day one: timely updates, verified facts, and tools that make everyday life a little easier.
What We Cover
TimelyUps combines a full-service digital newsroom with practical everyday utilities. Our coverage spans nine dedicated news desks, while our tools section helps millions of Pakistanis with the small but important details of daily life.
News Desks
Our editors work around the clock across Pakistan, World, Business, Technology, Sports, Education, Entertainment, Auto and Jobs & Schemes. From breaking political developments and economic policy to cricket, startups, exam schedules and film releases — if it matters to Pakistan, you will find it here, updated through the day.
Everyday Tools
Beyond headlines, we build tools Pakistanis actually use: accurate Prayer Timings for cities nationwide, daily Gold Rates, live Currency Exchange rates, PSX market updates, and electricity and gas bill-checking utilities. Every tool is updated daily and engineered to load fast on any device.
Our Editorial Standards
Trust is earned one story at a time. These are the principles every TimelyUps article is held to:
- Original reporting first. We prioritise first-hand reporting and direct verification over rewriting what others have published. When we aggregate, we credit and link the original source.
- Verified sources. Every material fact is checked against primary or authoritative sources before publication. Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly, and only when the information is clearly in the public interest.
- Transparent corrections. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and note significant corrections on the article itself. Readers can report errors any time via our Contact Us page.
- Independence. Our journalism is independent of political, commercial and institutional influence. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled and never influences editorial decisions.
Our Team
TimelyUps is run by a compact, dedicated team of editors, reporters and developers based in Pakistan. We keep the team deliberately lean: fewer layers between the newsroom and the reader means faster publishing, sharper editing and quicker fixes when something needs attention.
Our editors bring experience from print, television and digital media, while our product team obsesses over page speed, readability and the reliability of our tools. We do not chase virality for its own sake — we chase usefulness. If a story or a tool does not serve our readers, it does not ship.
