PESCO supplies electricity to over 3.7 million consumers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, and every district in between. If your paper bill never arrived or you need a duplicate, you don’t have to visit an office. Enter your 14-digit reference number below and open the official PESCO bill portal in one click.
PESCO Bill Checker
Enter the 14-digit reference number from any old PESCO bill. We’ll validate it, then open the official portal with everything ready.
The number is printed on every PESCO bill as “Reference No.” — 14 digits, no spaces or dashes. The portal also accepts a Customer ID (10–14 digits) if you select that option on their page.
Where Is the Reference Number?
- Find any old PESCO bill — paper or a photo of one works.
- Look at the top section for “Reference No.” It’s a 14-digit number, usually printed in bold near your name and address.
- Type it here exactly as printed — don’t skip leading zeros, and don’t add spaces or dashes.
- Press “Check Bill” — the official PESCO portal opens in a new tab. You’ll need to complete the captcha there and press Search.

How to Pay Your PESCO Bill
Once you’ve seen the bill, payment takes a minute. PESCO accepts all the usual channels: JazzCash, Easypaisa, and Upaisa under utility bills; internet banking from any major bank; ATMs; and NADRA e-Sahulat centers. There’s no extra charge for paying online — just the bill amount. Pay before the due date printed on the bill to avoid the late-payment surcharge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I check my PESCO bill with my CNIC or name?
No. The official portal only works with the 14-digit reference number or a 10–14 digit Customer ID. It can’t look bills up by CNIC or by name — there would be too many matches.
The portal says “Given Ref/App No is invalid.” What went wrong?
Almost always a typing slip. Check for spaces, dashes, or a dropped leading zero. The reference number must be exactly 14 digits. If you picked the Customer ID option instead, it needs 10 to 14 digits, numbers only.
The PESCO portal isn’t loading. Is it down?
Probably not — the PITC portal is known to hang on the first try, especially in the evening. Wait a minute and reload before assuming it’s down. If it still won’t open, try again during off-peak hours (morning).
Can I get my PESCO bill by SMS every month?
Yes. Send your 14-digit reference number to 8334 and PESCO will text you the bill amount, due date, and payment confirmation each month. It’s free to subscribe.
I lost my reference number completely. What now?
Ask a neighbor in the same area for nothing — reference numbers are unique to each meter. Your options: find any old bill or its photo, check the SMS alerts if you subscribed to 8334, or call 118 with your address and meter details so PESCO can look it up for you.
