The announcement was made by the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and IT-enabled Services (P@SHA), which led the national delegation.

The awards recognised Pakistani organisations across digital government, talent development, global business services and artificial intelligence applications — competing against technology organisations from 26 economies across the Asia-Oceania region.

P@SHA Delegation and Reaction

A P@SHA delegation represented Pakistan at the ceremony, led by Chairman Dr. Shoab Khan, alongside P@SHA Central Executive Committee member and ASOCIO Vice Chairman Muhammad Zohaib Khan, and Zain Tariq, manager of special initiatives at P@SHA. The awards for Symmetry Group, SECUREBEANS and Geekinn were received on their behalf by the delegation.

Dr. Shoab Khan said the achievement was a testament to the relentless innovation, resilience and world-class capability of Pakistan’s technology sector. He noted that winning across 11 diverse categories against competition from 24 economies showed Pakistan was not merely participating in the global tech landscape but actively shaping the future of digital transformation and applied artificial intelligence.

Why This Matters

The breadth of the wins — spanning digital government, cybersecurity, education, healthcare, agriculture, financial services, manufacturing and workforce development — demonstrates that Pakistan’s technology narrative is expanding well beyond outsourcing. It reflects growing international recognition of Pakistani capabilities in applied artificial intelligence and digital transformation across public services and industry.

The ASOCIO Digital and AI Summit 2026, hosted by APTIKNAS in Jakarta from October 5 to 7, brought together government leaders, national ICT associations, executives, technology companies and investors from member economies — offering Pakistani firms a platform to convert recognition into regional business relationships, partnerships and market access.

Pakistan’s Growing Digital Footprint

The recognition comes at a time when Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services sector continues to expand its international presence. P@SHA, the country’s premier trade association for the technology industry, has been actively promoting Pakistani firms at regional and global forums, and the Jakarta sweep marks one of the broadest single-event hauls for the national delegation in recent years.

Provincial technology boards have also played a visible role. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board’s Digital Government Award reflects the province’s sustained investment in digital policy implementation and technology-driven public service delivery, which has earned a series of national and international honours in recent years, including recognition through the P@SHA ICT Awards and the World Summit on the Information Society Awards.
