Master Changan has officially introduced its luxury electric vehicle brand AVATR in Pakistan, adding a premium new name to the country’s fast-growing EV market. The AVATR Pakistan launch took place on October 3, 2026, with two high-end electric SUVs unveiled for local buyers.
The launch marks a significant step for the local auto industry, as fully electric luxury SUVs from an international marque become available to Pakistani customers with official backing, warranty and after-sales support.

Two models, three variants
Headlining the launch is the AVATR 07, offered in two variants. The AVATR 07 Max with rear-wheel drive is priced at PKR 20 million, while the range-topping AVATR 07 Ultra with all-wheel drive costs PKR 22 million.
The company also showcased the AVATR 11, expanding the brand’s local lineup and giving buyers a choice of premium electric SUVs in different sizes and specifications.
A new luxury EV contender
AVATR positions itself at the top end of the electric market, targeting buyers who want cutting-edge design, long driving range and advanced technology. Its arrival gives Pakistan’s luxury car segment its first dedicated electric brand with full manufacturer support.
The move also reflects growing confidence among global automakers in Pakistan’s EV potential, as charging infrastructure slowly expands and running-cost savings draw more motorists toward electric mobility.

What it means for buyers
For buyers in the market for a premium SUV, AVATR offers an electric alternative to conventional luxury models, with the promise of lower running costs and zero tailpipe emissions. Official availability through Master Changan means servicing and spare parts should be easier to secure than with grey imports.
As more international EV brands eye Pakistan, the AVATR launch could be the start of a broader shift — one where electric vehicles move from a niche curiosity to a mainstream choice on Pakistani roads.
Charging into the future
Pakistan’s electric vehicle landscape is changing quickly. A few years ago, EVs were a rare sight limited to a handful of imported models. Today, multiple brands offer electric options with local warranties, and the arrival of a dedicated luxury EV marque like AVATR signals that the market is maturing beyond early experiments.
Government incentives for EVs, including lower duties compared to conventional vehicles, have helped tip the scales. If charging infrastructure keeps pace and prices continue to rationalise, industry watchers believe electric vehicles could capture a meaningful share of new car sales within the next few years.
